This collaborative workshop invites participants to explore the major environmental challenges facing our planet through a systemic and interactive approach. Inspired by scientific research, the workshop helps participants better understand the links between climate change, biodiversity loss, resource management and human activities.

Through teamwork and collective reflection, participants will discuss possible pathways for action and consider how research and higher education can contribute to more sustainable practices.

This session will introduce participants to national, international and European funding opportunities connected to doctoral education. It will also provide insight into how funding calls are structured and how applicants can approach the proposal-writing process.

09:00 Discovering Open Science through a collaborative workshop

Open Science is increasingly promoted by research institutions, funders, and scientific communities worldwide as a way to make research more transparent, robust, and reproducible. Yet its principles, practices, and implications are not always easy to grasp from a theoretical perspective alone.

This interactive session is based on the Open Science Mural, a collaborative workshop inspired by the methodology of the Climate Fresk and developed at the University of Lille. Through collective reflection and discussion, participants will explore the key challenges facing contemporary research and discover how Open Science practices can help address issues such as transparency, reproducibility, research integrity, accessibility, and knowledge sharing.
